During her time as a student she became one of the initiators to SuperMarit – a three-year, EU-funded project about women and games. Karin started Ozma together with Bobbi A. Sand in 2006. They started out making board games for kids published by Egmont Kärnan. But soon they also moved into the digital realm. Today they are working with everything from serious games (games for learning and change) to location based games (mobile games that make you run around in the city) and social media. The core of Ozma’s philosophy is playfulness. To start out with a story, a situation, a certain technology or a specific target group and based on these things come up with a great game. Karin will speak about games as a distribution channel for great stories. Stories that are made to inspire players and stories created in the moment of play by the players themselves.
